Judges' Comments

Kym Milne
Ripe berry fruit, touch of thyme 7 mint. Lovely core of blackberry fruit, subtle oak sweetness and fine powdery tannin finish.

Stuart Halliday
Uplifted dark berry fruit, hint of stewed rhubarb, medium tannins, some acid crunch, pretty infact

Oliver Masters
Medium dark, black pepper spice and lifted sweet fruit on nose, sweet fruit entry and primary youthful tannin through palate, worked with BBQ Octopus

Natasha Hughes
Palate dominated by eucalypt character. Sweet vanilla oak competes in flavour terms. Unattractive sweet-bitter combination.

Corey Ryan
Deep Crimson in colour, red cherry fruits with spice. Aromas. The palate is tight with a nervous acidity, chewy tannins rounded mid palate. Overall well-made but lacks excitement. The dish brings out the fleshy fruits in this wine, together with the vanillin oak undertones. Perhaps a little too much oak?

Matthew Deller
Medium dark appearance. Primary, berry fruit, confected, pastille, banana, mocha. Fresh yet creamy, fruit sweet palate, juicy acidity and raspy, furry tannins. Medium length, sweetish finish. Food brings the elements of this wine together.
