Judges' Comments

Warren Gibson
Slightly dull and confected. Flat and lacking. Same with the dish. Hard and mean.

Meg Brodtmann
Deeply coloured for a rose. Confected raspberry and strawberry fruits on the nose. The palate has sugar but it is balanced and fills out the mid palate. Slightly bitter and hot on the finish. No real change with the food.

Dr Ken Dobler
Pale watermelon pink. Effusive nose with both ripe berry and herbal notes. Palate is wonderfully savoury with a lovely blend of fruit with that savoury herbal edge which persists long into the mouth.

Brent Marris
Soft elegant rose water nose. Slight strawberry palate with lovely ripe fruit on the mid palate but finishing dry and crisp. A good match with the quiche as the flavours of both wine and the dish linger.

Ying Tan
Bright cherry-pink. Rosewater tinged strawberry with a touch of mint on the nose. Med-full, slightly sour cherry, rosewater, mint, touch of dryness on mid-palate. Dry astringent finish. Leek Quiche emphasized fruitiness but still astringent on finish.

Sue Bastian
Pale to mid cherry red almost incandescent. White cherry nose with slight savoury notes. Spicy, herbal dry palate, with pleasant fruit intensity and length. Wine is a little bitter.
