Tony Allen
Big and complex Cabernet. Cassis, vanilla, black cherry. Nice crunchy tannins. A touch leafy also. A good food match. A good food wine.
Warren Gibson
Lifted, quite herbal. Blackcurrant and cassis. Very intense. Fruit sweetness is apparent and it’s a good match of flavour with the food. Some savoury tannins do help.
Liam McElhinney
Very leafy, herbal, menthol on the nose. Flavours of cassis and plum. Slightly green tannin but the flavours were extremely harmonious with the lamb and the rosemary in the dish. Increased tannin as well.
Steve Flamstead
A menthol leafy edge to this cooler Cabernet. Green bay leaves and spice. On the palate menthol like, sweet fruit and reasonably high alcohol dominating.
Peter Marks
A good Cabernet with that typical Australian minty, eucalyptus character. A little cassis and vanillin oak. Nice rich fruit. Good acidity with good full tannins. The wine was a nice complement to that rosemary flavour in the food. The mintiness seemed to have a nice compatibility with the herbs, bringing out the flavours in the wine. At the same time the acid and tannin softened a bit, so the wine improved.

Intense, developed fruit and chocolate. Black fruit character. Good concentration of pure, healthy fruit framed by fine grained tannic structure. The food makes the wine seem too tannic.
