We are interested in participating to the 2014 Sydney International Wine Competition.  Could you forward me your Entry Forms and Conditions of Entry, please?  Saluti, Marco, Export Manager.

Warren's Answer
Your timing is perfect, Marco.  The Entry Form for our next Competition, to be judged 14-18 October, goes on line on Monday 3 June 2013.  You will find the Entry Forms here.  Due to our 'three phase judging with food' process, we can only do proper justice to 2,000 entries.  Entries close as soon as the 2,000 entries cap has been reached. (A visual description of how the Competition is judged can be found here.)  Across a prescribed range of styles, we aim to recommend wines that are food friendly, balanced and harmonious, Awards are hard won. Only approx.15% of the total Entry receive recognition.  Consumers have come to realise that an SIWC Award really means something - our Trademark Bottle Medallions are an excellent marketing aid. Our website is viewed by more than 600,000 visitors per annum.  The Competition offers wonderful exposure for our Award winners to a global audience. What's more, at AU$115 (including 10% GST), our Entry Fees are much lower than most other international wine competitions! Thanks for your enquiry! 
 

SOMMELIER INITIATIVE - RESERVE JUDGE IN RESIDENCE
Our initiative to invite career Sommeliers to apply for the position of Reserve Judge in Residence, and thus gain entry into major wine show judging, has been won by Stuart James Halliday. Applications  were  received from several States, New Zealand and India.  Thank you to all applicants. There were several other worthy winners.  We intend to continue this offer to career Sommeliers in the future.
