IT’S WHAT WE DO
Sydney International Wine Competition is an independent, self funded, food oriented wine show, offering a web based information service to consumers interested in choosing wines most likely to meet their personal preferences and enhance their day to day dining enjoyment.
Approximately 300 superior wines make the final list. From a week of judging, the information offered on these Award winning wines is condensed from the collective assessments of 2,000 capped entries by fourteen international wine professionals. Unbiased and unsponsored, this information is freely available and viewed by 650,000+ site visitors p/a from all over the world.

THE 2013 COMPETITION
The 32nd Competition’s judging was held in mid-October. We are currently working on the 2013 website to be uploaded 23 February, immediately after the conclusion of the Awards and Trophies Presentation Dégustation Banquet. Information Checklists have been received from all the Award winners. Over 2,000 individual judges’ taped comments have been transcribed and are currently being edited as are judges’ updated Résumés and Reflections. Photography of Celebrity Chef Tony Bilson’s food dishes alongside which the wine finalists in their various Style Categories were judged, of the Judges at work - and at play - needs to be photo-shopped and captioned. Much information will be offered. Much work still to be done. For world-wide site visitors, for the first time, contact details of the Award winners’ international distributors will be available.

GENERAL MANAGER APPOINTMENT.
Michael McIntosh, Auckland Grammar (1996 -2000), graduated B.Com. (2003-5) Uni of Auckland (Management and Commercial Law), but his career interests always lay in the wine/food domain. Travelling the wine trails of Europe, completing studies in WSET and diverse other specialist wine/food courses, gathering practical experience, rising to restaurant general management, always advancing his career goal. Michael is a most welcome addition to our small Admin team.
