ABOUT THE 2011 COMPETITION

Further, the International nature of the Competition was reflected in the Panel of Judges. For the 2011 judging, the fourteen Judges came from five Countries, half from Australia, plus New Zealand, England, Singapore and Hong Kong. The Panel included six Masters of Wine and seven Senior/Chief/Consultant winemakers. Ours is arguably the most highly qualified InternationalJudging Panel to judge wines in Australia on an annual basis.

You will notice the Competition does not rely in any way on sponsorships. Nor do we sell wine. As such, we are completely objective, independent of sponsorships and producer pressures. We pay our own way for judges’ airfares, five star Judges accommodation and meals, transport and related services.
