Farewell Dinner for the 2009 Competition’s Judging Panel. This is your only chance to mingle with our Vinous Visitors.
Representing seven countries, our Judges will be dispersing to the four corners the following morning.

THREE QUALITY WINES OF SIMILAR PALATE WEIGHT, mainly from the Competition’s ‘Library Collection’ Cellar, will be presented blind to complement each of the five considered, rehearsed and fine tuned food courses. We don’t have unlimited availability for some of these wines. Thus, depending on final guest numbers, and how the test bottle opens, here are some of the wines from which we will choose.

  • Champagne Lanson “Gold Label” Vintage Brut 1996
  • Penfolds Yattarna Chardonnay 2002 or 2003
  • Tyrrells Hunter Valley Vat 1 Semillon 1999
  • Peter Lehmann “Margaret” Barossa Semillon 2002
  • D’Arenberg “Dead Arm” McLaren Vale Shiraz 1999
  • Wynn’s “John Riddoch” Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 1993
  • Orlando “Jacaranda Ridge” Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 1989
  • Henschke “Mount Edelstone” Eden Valley Shiraz 1990.
  • De Bortoli “Noble One” Botrytis Sémillon 1998
