ENTRIES CLOSE FOR 2009 COMPETITION.

We have reached the Entries Cap of 2,000 wines for the 2009 Competition. No further Entries will be accepted after 5.00pm, Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST), Wednesday 27 October 2008, with the following exceptions:

  • Entries which the Competition has already received, but which still have outstanding requirements; plus, Entrants who have recently contacted the Competition when there where places still available and reserved a nominated number of places; have until 5.00pm AEST, Monday, September 1st 2008, to complete their entries, after which time their places will be relinquished.
  • Entries received after 5.00pm AEST, Wednesday, 27 October 2008 will be Wait Listed in chronological order of receipt and offered places as and if places become available.
  • Entry Fees for wines not able to be accepted for judging will not be deposited or debited; or if automatically credited to the Competition’s account as for example in the case of Electronic Funds Transfer, will be refunded in full.

AU$90.00 plus 10% GST per entry.

DATES AND DEADLINES, 2009 COMPETITION

ENTRIES CLOSE: 12 September 2008*
*For the 2009 Competition, we will again limit Entries to 2,000 on a 'first come' basis. Thus, Entries may close before 12 September 2008.

JUDGING SAMPLES DEADLINE: 26 September, 2008; 4.00pm Sydney time.
Number of Judging Samples Required. Six samples x 750 mls bottles are required for each entry except for wines with 80 g/ltr or more of residual sugar where three x 750mls samples are required (or an equivalent volume if packed in smaller format bottles).

JUDGING TAKES PLACE: 12 to 17 October 2008.

ENTRANT'S 2009 COMPETITION RESULTS: Advised to each Entrant individually
on or before 14 November 2008.

BANQUET AND ANNOUNCEMENT OF TROPHIES AND ALL AWARDS:
Saturday, 28 February 2009. See Booking Form.

LAUNCH OF 2009 WEBSITE: 28 February 2009.

PUBLIC EXHIBITION DATE OF TOP 100 AND BLUE-GOLD AWARD WINNERS:
