Judges' Comments

Kym Milne
Complex, plum and earth aromas. Ripe fruits, bright with a slight alcohol warmth on the finish. Integrated very well with the food.

Stuart Halliday
Juicy crunchy red fruit, lovely easy tannins, well balanced, lovely food wine

Oliver Masters
Medium dark red, cigar box, ripe red fruit and sweet mushroom complexity, fresh red fruit entry with tight dry tannin line through plate, unchanged by food match

Natasha Hughes
Not much fruit on nose and palate is also fairly lean. Brief and simple. Oaky note on finish.

Corey Ryan
Some brick brown hues, lifted red fruits and spice, simple aromas. A tight acid driven palate lacks a little generosity.

Matthew Deller
Medium pale appearance. Complex, spicy nose with black raspberry, cured meat, dried herbs, subliminal oak. Quite serious with good concentration and density, fresh acidity and velvety tannins. Good length, spicy finish. Food accentuates the power and richness of the wine, and the furry nature of the tannins
