Judges' Comments

Kym Milne
Fresh, floral and strawberry aromas. Ripe pinot berry fruit. Nice texture, quite silky/velvety palate. Quite complex and subtle but with good firm tannins on the finish. Very good match with the food

Stuart Halliday
A more savoury style, textured on the palate, more weight. Palate of red fruits, and vanilla oak, harmonise.

Oliver Masters
Medium red with youthful purple hue, very primary fruit driven aromatics of cherry and violets. Fine pure fruit sweet palate with good supporting tannin. very good when paired with duck

Natasha Hughes
Simple, fairly dilute wine. Lacks depth on the finish.

Corey Ryan
Youthful crimson colour, lifted complex brooding ripe vibrant aromas. A full throttle styled Pinot Noir, with lashings of primary fruits, rich mid palate, good acid line and texture. A big style. The richness of the wine juicy focused style work well with the duck beetroot risotto. The savoury undertones of the dish fleshed out with the bigger Pinot Noir fruits.

Matthew Deller
Medium/dark appearance. Wild black fruit, dark chocolate, pastille (cold soak), liquorice. Quite dense, crisp acidity, nice velvety tannins. Quite long and refined. Food focuses the wine, but the juicy density works well.
