Judges' Comments

Kym Milne
Ripe stone fruit, nectarine and some florals. Ripe palate, warm and textured with crisp acid. Good length.

Warren Gibson
Woody, slightly simple wine. Dry and ungiving. Dull and flat with the dish as well.

Meg Brodtmann
Subdued nose of lemon curd, hazelnuts and butter. Interestingly, the palate is more open with peach, nectarine and acacia beautifully balanced with honeyed, toasty oak. Slightly hot on the finish. Good pairing but no improvement. The wine seems more buttery and rich.

Dr Ken Dobler
Brilliant fresh straw green colour. Restrained nose with yeasty bread like aromas underpinned by cut pear notes. Lovely savoury palate with nice line of flavour through to the back palate.

Brent Marris
Clean and fresh with hints of tropical notes. Slight creaminess coming through with a lively citrus like finish. Gives good backbone with a bright fresh finish. A great food wine match. The fish brings the flavours of the wine more to the front of the palate and keeps the structure so it is long and lingering.

Ying Tan
Floral, rose-tinged creamy oak nose. Med-bodied, creamy oaky simple apple slightly floral spicy oaky notes. Dry phenolic finish. Short. Snapper is neutral with the wine
