Judges' Comments

Kym Milne
Toasty, complex, some bottle aged aromas. Quite ripe, peachy Chardonnay with nice texture and length

Warren Gibson
Toasty, aged notes. Nutty and complex. Nice bottle development. Lacking some power of flavour with the dish

Meg Brodtmann
Riper Chardonnay character with peach, apricot, tinned pineapple and a hint of vanilla oak. A much more overt, fruity style with loads of tropical fruit and subtle oak. Certainly richer and warmer. The butteriness of the sauce worked well with the richer, buttery oak nicely balanced.

Dr Ken Dobler
Straw yellow colour. Complex aromas of bread, fig and bacon bone. Complex palate with lovely line of acid and length of flavour. This more complex style suits food well.

Brent Marris
Slight cold tea character on the nose. The palate tastes quite dried out and lacking fruit. Dry fig and dried apricot characters. Wine is better with the food but still appears dried out.

Ying Tan
Oily, lightly floral oaky apple nose. Med-bodied, dry, lightly lemony, oaky, spicy, apple, simple. Dry slightly astringent finish. Snapper accentuates depth if still a little simple
