Stuart Halliday
Crème caramel with a hint of burnt seville orange marmalade. Rich and flavoursome, clean acid finish, not volatile at all

Oliver Masters
Medium density orange brown, palate warm spicy and dense, balance a touch hot and fresh. Went nicely with chocolate roulade

Sue Bastian
Burnt amber with ever so slight green tint at the rim. Mod intense slightly spirit nose with roasted nuts and mixed dried fruits. Lovely unctuous palate, mixed dried stone fruits, prunes and good length finishes with honey. A great match with attractive caramelised nut characters being enhanced.

Natasha Hughes
Rather simple burnt sugar character on nose. Palate shows a bit more depth, with dried fruits and a hint of oxidative nuttiness. Not quite enough acidity for balance. Fairly brief.

Corey Ryan
Brown with green hues, ripe dried fruit notes, chunky sandalwood characters chunky chewy wine. Juicy wine good intensity fleshy wine. Robust dried fruits. Alcohol too high and hot. The chocolate lifted the dried fruits and the tawny flavours in the wine. The wine with food finishes concentrated and rich chewy and long.

Matthew Deller
Mahogany. Raisin, prune, coffee, burn toast, toasted walnuts. Quite luscious, but with fresh acidity, solid phenolics and alcohol burn. Good length.
