Judges' Comments

Kym Milne
Waxy plus herbal lemon notes. Complex, candied lemon, some sweet oak, long and complex

Warren Gibson
Lifted. Strong botrytis. Very sweet. Complex. Very rich and concentrated. Long and lingering

Meg Brodtmann
A less complex wine with aromas and flavours of sesame seed, straw, honeysuckle and a touch of honey. The wine is slightly bitter but shows balanced sugar and acid. Quite simple with the food and a little mushroomy.

Dr Ken Dobler
Medium straw gold colour. Interesting nutty aromas supported by some citrus notes. Lovely apricot jam flavours on the plate which is long and attractive.

Brent Marris
Ripe full fruit flavour. Hints of tropical fruit with touches of grapefruit on the finish. Well balanced with sugar and acid on the finish. Well matched with the apple tart. Makes the wines acid more obvious therefore more balanced.

Ying Tan
Light gold. Very smoky struck match nose. Ash tray. Med- bodied, med high acid, lemon peel, marmalade. Sweet finish. Apple Tart Tatin reduces the smoky character but still doesn’t mask the lack of concentration and complexity.
