Natasha Hughs MW (UK)
Natasha Hughes graduated as a Master of Wine in 2014,
winning four out of the seven prizes awarded that year, including the
Outstanding Achievement Award.
Natasha began her wine trade career as deputy editor for
Decanterís website, but left in 2001 to begin freelancing as a journalist,
specialising in wine and food. Since then she has written for numerous
publications, including Decanter, Square Meal, Imbibe and Australian Gourmet
Traveller Wine. Her online work has been published by jancisrobinson.com,
timatkin.com and wine-pages.com, among others.
In 2015, Natasha was a finalist in the inaugural Pio Cesare
Food and Wine Writer award, one of the categories of the prestigious Roederer
Natasha consults for restaurants, private clients, wine
producers and generic bodies. She is a panel chair at the International Wine
Challenge and has also chaired the judging at Georgiaís National Wine Competition
and Imbibeís Sommelier Wine Awards. She has been a member of judging in France,
Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany and the Czech Republic.
In addition, Natasha hosts wine events, seminars and tutored
tastings for private clients and members of the wine trade, and leads trips to
wine regions for private clients.
