Peppery, spicy, cassis Shiraz is lifted with the background florality of the Viognier. Very dry, firm tannins offer a solid spice for the ripe, intense fruit. One to cellar or enjoy now.
A dark crimson colour. A rich mulberry and plum nose with hints of apricot blossom. The palate showing rich plummy fruit with a soft, long, tannic finish. This ripe fruit character came to the fore with food.
A very aromatic nose. Round fruit. Quite driven. Lifted tannins were evident with good fruit balance on the palate. Spicy aromatics worked well with the dish. Good weight with the food. The wine was quite lifted and added a dimension to the food which was also nice.
Deep, plummy fruit with light, peppery spice and not too exotic. The palate has coconutty oak framing a generous, soft edged fruit. Will this structure hold up in the mid to longer term?
Intense, lifted, sweet, fruited wine. Rich, full, generous plum palate. The wine dropped short a little on the finish with the food.
Lisa Perotti BrownWarm black cherry and prunes with a slight floral lift. Full and rich in the mouth with medium to firm, fine tannins and a long finish. It was just a little bit warm in the finish but a relatively good match with the food.
